Caleb Agada
Caleb Apochi Agada (born 31 August 1994) is a Nigerian-Canadian professional basketball player and 2021 Olympian. He is a 6’4 guard who currently plays for SC Prometey Kamianske in the Ukraine Super League (Latvia ’22) and Euro League. He is also an active member of the Nigerian national basketball team.
Career
International Career
Aside from being called up to play for the Canada National team for the FISU games in 2015 and 2017, Caleb is an active member of the Nigerian National Basketball Team. Last summer Caleb helped lead Team Nigeria in a historic win over Team USA (17pts) before heading to the 2021 Summer Olympics.
Professional Career
Caleb began his professional career in Prat, Spain in the 2017-18 season where he was awarded player of the year. For the next 2 seasons (18-19 and 19-20) Caleb played for the Melilla Baloncesto before signing with the Hapoel Be’er Sheva of the Israeli Premier League (May 2020) where he played for one season. After playing in the NBA Summer League 2021, Caleb signed with Melbourne United in Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) for 2022. He currently plays for SC Prometey Kamianske in the Ukraine Super League (Latvia ’22) and Euro League.
College Career
Caleb played for the University of Ottawa Gee Gees from 2012 until 2017. Over his career he averaged 14.9 pts 6.4 rbds and 2.2 ast per game. He was also a 2x All-Canadian and 2x National Defensive Player of the Year.
Basketball Journey
Caleb was introduced to basketball very early through the YMCA youth programs. He stayed within the youth programs until 2010, his second year of high school, when he committed himself and began playing organized ball for his high school and OBA teams (Ontario Basketball Association) in the Halton region and surrounding cities.

“I’ve been lucky to be a successful basketball player, travel the world and earn a living doing what I love, but I am more than an athlete and feel I can do more to better myself and the world I live in.”
I understand how my success yields many opportunities if I take advantage and use them correctly. I am a brand with a successful basketball career and connections all over the world, building myself up is a key that will unlock more opportunities and set me apart from other athletes growing outside the respective sports.
I want to be great, and I will be great. I want to create generational wealth for future Agadas so they can come up with the comfort and luxuries that I didn’t have. I want to create opportunities for others in similar situations as me and give them another resource that can help them out of their struggle and allow them to help others also.
